Pleasant Grove Excellence

We are fortunate to have an entire staff of dedicated and certified professionals. Congratulations to Mrs. Emily Hamrick, our 2025 Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Shanna Long, our 2025 Educational Support Personnel of the Year.

Pleasant Grove is proud to be recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as a Literacy Leader school for achieving significant growth in third-grade reading levels. This award highlights our commitment to grade-level reading and recognizes schools that demonstrate strong progress, even with lower achievement levels.

Our students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities and clubs, including Reading Bowl, Picture Book Bowl, Ecology Club, Beta Club, Robotics Team, News Crew and Production, Chorus, Art Club, Chess Club, Girls Who Code, Student Ambassadors, Basketball, and Cheerleading.

We are committed to supporting the whole child by providing intentional, individualized support aimed at meeting each student’s unique needs. These supports help to ensure that all students have access to the tools necessary for success.

Regular attendance is crucial for academic success and personal growth. At Pleasant Grove, we encourage students to prioritize school, offering monthly incentives to promote attendance and providing support to boost engagement and confidence.
