We are especially proud to celebrate Mrs. Marcia Barker, our 2026 Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Nicole Funk, our 2026 Educational Support Personnel of the Year. Congratulations to these outstanding educators for their dedication and the positive impact they make on our school community!

Celebrating Literacy Growth

Pleasant Grove Elementary is proud to be recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as a Literacy Leader School for demonstrating significant growth in third-grade reading achievement. This recognition celebrates our school’s commitment to helping every student become a confident, grade-level reader and honors the dedication of our students, teachers, and families. It is a reflection of the progress we are making together and our continued commitment to literacy success for every learner.

Explore, Create. Compete, Connect

At Pleasant Grove Elementary, students have many opportunities to discover their interests, develop new skills, build friendships, and shine beyond the classroom. Our students can participate in a wide variety of clubs, activities, and extracurricular programs, including Reading Bowl, Picture Book Bowl, Ecology Club, Beta Club, News Crew & Production, Chorus, Chess Club, Girls Who Code, Student Ambassadors, Basketball, and Cheerleading.

Supporting Every Student

At Pleasant Grove Elementary, we are committed to supporting the whole child and recognizing that every student has unique strengths, needs, and goals. Through intentional and individualized support, we work to ensure that every student has access to the resources, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

Attendance Matters

Regular attendance is essential to academic success, personal growth, and a strong sense of belonging. At Pleasant Grove Elementary, we encourage students to make attendance a priority through monthly incentives that celebrate being at school and ready to learn. We also provide intentional support to help students stay engaged, build confidence, and make the most of every school day.

Supporting Mental Health and Wellness

At Pleasant Grove Elementary, we believe that mental and emotional well-being are essential to learning and thriving. Mrs. Canty, our Mental Health and Wellness Facilitator provides resources, guidance, and support to help students, staff, and families build resilience, develop emotional awareness, and strengthen healthy coping skills. Together, we strive to create a caring and supportive school community where everyone feels valued, supported, and ready to grow.
